Xiyang Yuhui (C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'). HA-10-17., a crossseedling (DDA-No.26) of C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'. Flowers orange red, single form, medium size,9.5-10.0cm across with 6-7 petals, petals broad obovate with deep red veinsvisible, slightly wavy, stamens united into a column, bloom dense. Leaves darkgreen, heavy leathery, long elliptic, margins shallowly serrate. Plant uprightand growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late-summer, fully blooms from autumnto winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Afterglow of the Sunset”.
