Zhou Li, 2011, Illustrated Handbook for Sichuan Camellias, p.186.  Plant growth vigorous, open, medium branching with relatively long internodes, medium foliage density. Leaves dark green, glossy, measured 8 cm to 10 cm across by 4 cm to 5.5 cm wide, with apex apiculate and reflexed, base cuneate, serration shallow and sparse. Sepals open. Flower white. Petals rounded, with pink stripes, about 30 segments. Petaloids by some stamens, mixed with normal stamens, floral centre fluted, diameter 6.5 cm to 7.5 cm, rose form double ,medium floral abundance. Blooms February to April, at fully blooming in March.  Key points of identification: Petals with pink stripes, petaloids by some stamens, floral centre depressed. Origin: Sichuan of China
