[Variety Source]: Selected by Tea Research Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences from Yunnan Shuangjiang 'Menghu Big Leaf'. [Characteristics]: Tree-type, large-leafed, medium-growing species. Tree posture is open, growth potential is strong, branching site is high, branching is sparse. The leaf blade is upwardly inserted, moderately elliptic, 13.4 centimeters long, 5.1 centimeters wide, yellowish-green in color, with a sharp apex. In the Menghai area, the exploitation period is generally in late March, and the full bloom period of one bud and two leaves is generally in the middle of March; the germination density is medium, with a lot of velvet; the length of one bud and three leaves is 7.6 centimeters, and the weight of one bud and three leaves in one hundred buds is 102.0 grams. Flowering period is in the middle of September every year; the size of corolla is 3.2 cm x 3.6 cm, the length of pedicel is 0.7 cm, the calyx is 5, green, velvet; petals are 7, white in color, medium in texture, velvet; the length of style is 1.4 cm, the stigma is 3-lobed, shallowly lobed, and the relative heights of pistil and stamen are equal. It is resistant to anthracnose and cloudy leaf blight, moderately resistant to tea cake disease, resistant to small green leafhopper and coffee mite, moderately resistant to thrips, and has strong cold and drought resistance. [Suitable for planting area and cultivation technology points] Suitable for planting in the rainy season in the tropical subtropical ecological zone of Yunnan large-leaf tea area. It is suitable to adopt double rows of single plants or single rows of single plants, planting 1,500-2,000 seedlings per mu; strictly 3 times stereotyped pruning; strengthen the tea garden fertilization management.
