Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1980, Senchinshū, p.65, colour photo, description, p.218: White, small size, single, of 5-6 petals with sides incurved to give the petals a pointed appearance, large, spreading stamen cluster, anthers old-­gold. Leaves dull dark green, elliptic, apex acuminate, margins serrulate, petioles hirsute. Originated in the Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. From a private family in Yonezawa City, named and released by Tokuji Ōoka in 1974.
