Itō, Ihei, 1695, Kadan Chikinshō, vol.I: Small, incomplete double, outer rows of petals imbricated, a few petals hose-in-hose and central petaloids, erect like a pine cone. White with a pattern of short pink dashes. Originated in Japan. Note: "Akitsushima" which means "Dragonfly Island" was an old name for Japan.(Believed extinct.)
