American Camellia Yearbook, 1961, p.219, Reg. No.585: A 12 year old chance seedling, first bloomed 1955; originated by Andrew Surina, California, USA. Plant growth is upright and dense, medium in rate with dark green leaves averaging 8.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The anemone form flower, 5-6 cm across and 2.5 cm deep is Cardinal red and has 5 petals and 105 petaloids. Blooms mid-season to late.
