American Camellia Yearbook, 1991, p.77, Reg. No. 2218: Originated by Dr Charles Minarik, West Harich, MA, USA. Medium size rose-pink single C.japonica chance seedling; late blooming. The 20 year old seedling first flowered 1975. Average flower size is 8 cm across x 5 cm deep with 5 petals; extremely cold hardy. Plant growth upright, compact and rapid with dark green , serrated leaves. Colour photo between pp.80-81.
