ACS Registration #2938. The Camellia Journal,70(2):30 with color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2015, p. 133 with color photo and description. This 15-year-old C. reticulata chance seedling first bloomed in 2006. It was originated by Hulyn Smith of Valdosta, Georgia, USA and registered and propagated by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Bloom: The very large sized 14cm x 7cm (treated 17.8cm x 8.3cm) semi-double form flower is dark pink. It has gold anthers and white filaments. This long lasting, profuse bloomer falls in one piece with consistent form and heavy petal texture. The petals have some frosting at times. Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The medium green leaves average 14.6cm x 6.4cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Late.
