Emma Alia (C. japonica) ACS Registration #3107. Registered in 2019. This 25-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1998. It was originated, registered and propagated by Jill and Glenn Read of Lucedale, Mississippi. BLOOM: The large sized 11.4 cm x 5.1 cm formal double form flower is deep rose pink. This profuse bloomer is long lasting with consistent form, heavy petal texture and falls in one piece. The radiant deep rose pink petals darken to a slightly deeper pink at the petal edges. PLANT: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. LEAF: The dark green leaves average 8.3 cm x 3.2 cm with low serration. BLOOM SEASON: Midseason to late.
