Rollisson’s Plant Catalogue, 1877-1878: Bright rose with a salmon tint, veined with crimson, neatly and broadly bordered white; flowers large and well imbricated. This Camellia is a sport of Dom Pedro V, Rei de Portugal and was named for the wife of Napoleon’s Marshal, Andre Massèna, Duc de Rivoli, Prince d’Essling.
