Fairweather Favorite (C. hybrid) ACS, Reg. No.2481. American Camellia Yearbook, 1998,p2, with color photo in color inset. 4. A small, white with pinkishunderside, semidouble C. hybrid (C. japonica 'Frost Queen' x C.oleifera [PI 162561]), mid-season to late. Originated by William L.Ackerman, Ashton, MD and propagated by Fairweather Gardens, Greenwich, N].Commercially introduced in 1998. This 16-year-old seedling first bloomed in1985. Average size flower is 3" wide and 1-1/2" deep with 16 petals,3 petaloid, yellow-orange anthers and creamy filaments. Extremely floriferous,long blooming season, plant fully hardy to-15 F. Plant growth is upright, dense, and medium with dark green leavesmeasuring 4-1/2" long and 2" wide.
