Fozhi Yingrui

Fozhi Yingrui (C. azalea × Creticulata ‘Massee Lane’). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.186. HA-78-1., a cross seedling (Fozhi -No.2) of C. azalea × Creticulata ‘Massee Lane’. Flowers watermelon red, fading to light color at the top part, loose-anemone to peony form, central petaloids with white stripes, large to very large size, 12.0-14.0cm across and 5.0cm deep, 13-18 large petals arranged in 2 rows, the petaloids crowed into a loose ball at the center. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, oblanceolate, cuneate at the base, margins thinly and sparsely serrate at the upper part. Plant semi-spread and growth normal. Starts to bloom from summer, fully blooms in autumn and sporadically in winter. Mark: The hybrid is bred by Foshan Botanical Garden, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The cultivar name means “Foshan Botanical Garden’s Full Auspiciousness”.

佛植盈瑞 Camellia ‘Fozhi Yingrui’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第186页。 HA-78-1.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶x云南山茶品种‘山茶之都’，杂交苗编号：Fozhi -No.2。花朵西瓜红色，向上部花色渐淡，松散的托桂型至牡丹型，中部雄蕊瓣具白条纹，大型至巨型花，花径12.0-14.0cm,花朵厚5.0cm，大花瓣13-18枚，呈2轮排列，雄蕊瓣簇拥呈松散的球状，花丝淡黄色，花药金黄色。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质，倒披针形，基部楔形，长9.5-12.0cm,宽3.4-5.2cm,上部叶缘具稀疏尖齿。植株半开张，生长中等。夏季始花，秋季盛花，冬季零星开花。注：本品种是由广东省佛山市佛山植物园培育的。
