SCCS., 1950, The Camellia. Its Culture and Nomenclature, p.40 as ‘Haku-cho’: White, medium semi-double. Believed to have originally been imported from Japan by the Star Nursery, California in 1930. However it is incorrectly identified and not the original Japanese Hakuchō. Synonyms: ‘White Butterfly’, ‘Mrs Albert Dekker’.
