Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.206 with colour photo; English translation p.144. Large semi-double, small stripes of deep red on white ground. Flowers mid-season. Leaves narrowly elliptic, large. Upright, vigorous growth. A natural seedling of Esugata. Named and released by Minoru Satō in 1969. From Aichi Prefecture.
