Mizuno,1829, Sōmoku Kinyōshū, vol.5 under the section on leaves with yellow variegation where it is described as having long leaves with yellow variegation. Originated in Japan. Different reading: ‘Hasegawa-de-kihu’. See Kyōto Engei Kurabu, 1966, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.7, p.175. Synonym: ‘Hasegawa-tsubaki’.(Believed extinct.)
