Hongbingdi

Hongbingdi. (Camellia japonica)  Synonym: None  Originate: Chongqing  Characteristics: Bud mutant originated from variety ‘Hongchang ecai’ Plant habit vigorous, with open canopy, shoots upright. Leaves green, flat and glossy, obovate to rounded, with apex apiculate, base obtuse, measuring 6.5 cm to 7.5 cm across by 4 cm to 5 cm wide, serrate not obvious. Calyxes arc opening. Flowers light red. Petals rounded. Outer petals imbricated regularly in hexagon. Inner small and regular petals forming two floral centres, with white spots apex, diameter 8 cm to 10 cm wide, formal double form, medium floral abundance. Blooming February to April, blooming in March.  Key points of identification: Flowers light red, outer petals imbricated regularly in hexagon, inner petals forming 2 flower centres.

红并蒂 Hongbingdi 周利主编、2011《川茶品种图鉴》 p.76。红嫦娥彩的芽变品种。植株开张，生长旺盛，枝姿直立；叶绿色，叶面平展光亮，倒卵圆形近圆形，叶尖短尖，基部宽楔型，叶长6.5cm~7.5cm，宽4cm~5cm,叶齿不明显；花萼开张，花浅红色，花瓣圆形，外数轮花瓣排列整齐，层叠呈六角形，内数轮花瓣较小，不规则，形成明显的2个花心，瓣尖略有白斑，花径8cm~10cm，完全全瓣型，花量中等，花期2月-4月，盛花期3月。识别特征：花浅红色，外花瓣排列整齐，呈六角形，内层小花瓣排列成2个花心。原始产地：重庆
