Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.16, colour photo, p.200, description: Small to medium sized, single white with deep scarlet streaks and splashes, 7-8 large, frilly petals, surrounding a stamen column with yellow anthers and light cream filaments, joined for half their length. Leaves glossy green, elliptic, recurved at the apex, finely serrate. Originated in Izu, Shizu'oka Prefecture, Japan.
