American Camellia Yearbook, 1960. p.199, Reg. No.470: An 8 year old chance seedling, originated by Mrs Jane Hood, San Marino, California, USA that first bloomed 1957. The medium green leaves average 11 cm long x 5 cm wide. The rose-red, formal double flow­ers, 7.5-8.5 cm across x 5 cm deep, have 50 petals. Blooms mid-season to late.
