Jerry Rice (C. japonica). Registered in 2020, ACS Registration #3229, published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 93. It was originated by Clarence & Lillian Gordy, from Ocala, Florida, USA and registered by Mark Crawford, from Valdosta, Georgia, USA. A chance seedling of ‘Dixie Knight’, first bloomed in 2008. Flower Color: Candy apple red with yellow anthers and pink filaments, Form: Loose peony to full peony to semidouble form. Size: Large to very large. 12.1-12.7 cm across, 6.4 cm depth, Leaf dark green, 8.3-8.9 cm long, 5.2 cm wide. Medium serration. Bloom Season: early to medium, Growth Rate: average. Growth Characteristics: upright, medium density growth.
