New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, 1975, vol.IX, No.3, p.5, Reg. No.117: A chance seedling of C.reticulata 'Cornelian' (Damanao) raised by Mrs Ida Berg, Whakatane, New Zealand that first flowered 1974 and has an open, upright habit, with mid-green foliage, 11 cm x 4.5 cm. The flower is semi-double to loose peony form with 17-20 petals, 6-8 petaloids and measures 13 cm across x 6 cm deep. The colour is RHS.CC. Red Group 51A.
