Jitsugetsu (japonica)

Flowers semi-double, pure white or red (Currant Red 821/3) , with intermediate colour of stripes, or rarely, two colours in two halves of the flower. Inner petals sometimes wavy and intermingled with stamens. Flowers late. Originated in the Kantō area, Japan. Resembles: Shikainami, Kariginu. Said to be a seedling of Kan’yōtai. Dif­ferent reading: 'Nichigetsu'. Known as 'Ichi-Setsu' in the UK. Satomi, 1956 gives 'Tōyō-nishiki' as a synonym but this name has since been used by Katayama for another cultivar.

Jitsugetsu日月（Sun & Moon)。（C.japonica)红山茶。1933，日本埼玉县。半重瓣(散漫）、白 〜粉红底、少量红条或粉红底白覆轮、花色多变、割〜散蕊、中轮、花期1〜3月、树性直立、长势强。
