ICS., Apr. 1990, Japanese Camellia Cultivar List, p.28: Very small size, rose-red, double. A seedling of C.japonica ‘Kujaku-tsubaki’ (Hakuhan-kujaku) x C.lutchuensis. Origi­nated in Ōsaka Prefecture, Japan. Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.333, as ‘Kaori-2gō’, with black and white photo; English translation p.228 incorrectly as ‘Karori-nigō’. Miniature, pale pink, semi-double, fragrant. Flowers mid-season. Leaves elliptic, miniature, dull. Dwarf, spreading growth, branches somewhat weeping. Named and released by Kazuo Yoshikawa in 1980s.
