King's Cup    (C. japonica)   ACS Registration #3109. Registered in 2019. This 10-year-old C. japonica seedling of 'Tama Peacock' and 'San Dimas' firstbloomed in 2012. It was originated, registered and propagated by Bradford Kingof Arcadia, California.  BLOOM: The medium sized 8.3 cm x 3.3 cmsemi-double form flower is white with a maroon center. It has yellow anthersand white filaments. The bloom is long lasting with consistent form and fallsin one piece. The bloom is cupped shape with a wash of maroon in the center. PLANT: The plant habit is spreading and dense. Thegrowth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibitionuses. LEAF: The medium green leaves average8.3 cm x 3.3 cm with low serration. BLOOM SEASON:Midseason.
