JCS., 1988, Japan Camellia, No.29, p.13, colour photo: Small size, deep red with white blotched, with 5 chan­nelled, slightly emarginate petals; stamens in a central column, pinched in at top, anthers yel­low, filaments joined for the lower third, red at base, fading to white at summit. Originated in the Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Tsugio Ōta in 1988.
