Kunzhi Fenzhuang

Kunzhi Fenzhuang (C. sasanqua). China Regn. #2021-336. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2021, No.6, p.51. It was originated and registered by the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. A natural pollinated seedlings of  'Shōwa-no-sakae', sown in 2007 and bloomed in 2011. Flower pink, semi-double form, petals 12-16, obovate, apex concave, diameter 6-7.5 cm, stamens partially petaloid, filaments separated, stigmas are 3-lobed, ovary hairy. Leaves elliptical to oblong, 4-5 cm long, 1.7-2 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, margins serrate obviously. Plant compact. Flowering period from September to November.

昆植粉妆Camellia sasanqua ‘Kunzhi Fenzhuang’ 中国登录号：2021-336，《中国花卉园艺》2021年第6期51页。由中国科学院昆明植物研究所培育并登录。从茶梅品种“昭和之荣”自然授粉种子实生苗中选育，2007年播种，2011年开花。花粉红色，半重瓣型，花瓣12—16枚，倒卵形，先端凹缺，花径6—7.5厘米，雄蕊部分瓣化为花瓣，花丝分离，柱头3裂，子房有毛；叶椭圆形至长椭圆形，长4—5厘米，宽1.7—2厘米，先端渐尖，基部楔形，叶缘锯齿明显；植株株型紧凑。花期9月至11月。
