Longhuozhu (C. japonica). China Regn. #2008-039. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2008, No.14, p.45. A cross of C. japonica ‘Merry Christmas’ x C. hybrid ‘Virginia W. Cutter’, first flowered in 2002. Originated by John Wang, Orinda, Calif., USA. Flowers anemone form, 9-10 cm diameter, red with white margins. Stamens yellow. Petals 60-100, width of white band can be affected by light conditions. Leaves elliptic, deep green, flat, apices acute, bases broad cuneate, obtuse serrate, 9.4-10 cm long x 5-5.5 cm wide. Flowers mid-season.

龙火珠 Camellia japonica‘ Longhuozhu’ 中国登录号：2008-039，《中国花卉园艺》2008年第14期45页。由游慕贤命名，11 Easton Ct. Orinda, CA.94563, USA的王大庄培育并登录。本品种是王大庄先生 1998 年用母本‘圣诞快乐’与父本‘佛琴利亚卡特’杂交选育的新品种。 2002 年第一次开花，花托桂型，红瓣白边缘，直径9～10㎝，花瓣60～100片。雄蕊黄，花丝淡黄。白边缘有时有宽窄，与日光培养有关系。叶椭圆形，深绿，先端急尖，基部宽楔形，钝齿。叶面平坦，长9.5㎝～10㎝，宽5～5.5㎝。花期1～3月。
