American Camellia Yearbook, 1981, p.102, Reg. No.1743: A miniature, cerise semi-double C.hybrid of Wabisuke Sukiya that blooms mid-season. Originated by John E. Rose, Gaithersberg, Maryland, USA. The 6 year old seedling first bloomed 1979. Average flower size is 5 cm across x 3.8 cm deep with 9-12 petals, yellow anthers and filaments. Plant growth is upright, spreading and medium in rate with dark green leaves, 7.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
