Nouvelle Iconographie, Book V, pl.IV: An Italian variety introduced two or three years ago, recommended for the pink colouring and good form of the blooms which mea­sure at least 11 cm across and are composed of very large, biform petals, all regularly imbri­cated; the central ones ovate, full; the others, towards the circumference, fully rounded, scarsely emarginate. A few white stripes appear here and there on the pink ground.
