New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, 2019, vol.XXX1, No.3, p.29. NZ Register # 526. A Jim Finlay seedling of unknown parentage registered by
Whangarei Quarry Gardens. Given to the Whangarei Quarry Gardens in 2000 and it
first flowered in 1998. The flower is a bright pink -with white stripes, RHS
54B, anemone form, 9.5cm with a depth of 4cm. It has 9 petals and a very strong
perfume which lasts when picked. The leaves are 9.5 x 4cm and its growth is medium
upright. It flowers midseason to late. It is named after a 102 year old
volunteer at the Whangarei Quarry Gardens.
