Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.328, colour photo and description: Large size, deep red with white blotching, semi-double with 3-4 rows of irreg­ular petals and a centre cluster of stamens with golden anthers. Blooms late to very late. Leaves deep green, broad-elliptic, curved, margins serrate. Originated in Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
