ACS, The Camellia Journal, June 2006, p.28, colour photo p.29, Reg. No.2673. A chance seedling that first flowered 1946. Propagated by John Grimm, Metairie, La., USA. The 4.5 cm diameter, dark rose to violet rose, formal double flower has heavy petal texture. Plant is upright with slow growth rate. Flowers mid-season to late. American Camellia Yearbook, 2006, p.63 with colour photo; Leaf and bloom descriptions given are incorrect.
