Muxian Zijuan

China Camellia Regn No. 2019-297. Published in China Flowers & Horticulture, 2019, No.20, p.61 with a colour photo. This cultivar was bred by You Mingfei and John Wang from the Jinhua Moxian Garden Engineering Company, and was obtained through the hybrid combination of  ‘WW1’ X  ‘Ruta Hagmann’. Flowered for the first time in 2015. The flower is purple-pink, with occasional white faint spots on the petal surface, semi-double to peony, large to giant flower, flower diameter 12.5～13.5 cm, petals 25～35, arranged in 3～4 rounds, with the flowers opening , The small petals will gradually grow up, the petals are large wavy or flying, and the stamens are clustered and mixed with the central stamen petals. The leaves are greenish to yellow with occasional yellow spots, thick leathery, broad elliptic, 10.0 to 11.0 cm long, 6.0 to 7.0 cm wide, main veins are light yellow, lateral veins sunken, and marginal leaf tooth tips. The plant is open, the branches are stiff, and the growth is vigorous. The flowering period is from the end of December to the beginning of March of the following year. 

慕贤紫娟 Camellia 'Muxian Zijuan' 中国茶花登录号：2019-297。《中国花卉园艺》2019年第20期61页。本品种由金华莫闲园林工程公司游鸣飞和王大庄培育，是通过杂交组合育种者的‘WW1号’杂交种 X 云南山茶杂交种‘哈格曼’（Ruta Hagmann）获得的。2015年首次开花。花朵紫粉红色，瓣面偶有白色隐斑，半重瓣型至牡丹型，大到巨型花，花径12.5～13.5 cm，花瓣25～35枚，呈3～4轮排列，随着花朵开放，小花瓣会渐渐长大，花瓣大波浪状或者飞舞状，雄蕊簇生，与中部雄蕊瓣混生。叶片绿偏黄，偶有黄斑，厚革质，阔椭圆形，长10.0 ～11.0 cm，宽6.0～7.0 cm，主脉淡黄色，侧脉凹陷，边缘叶齿尖。植株开张，枝干硬挺，生长旺盛。开花期12月底至翌年3月初。
