Hovey, ed. 1837, Magazine of Horticulture: Bloomed in Wilder’s Hawthorne Grove Garden for the first time. Pure white, very finely streaked all over with deep crimson. Flowers small and well formed. Sacco, 1830-1833, according to Schiavonne, 1981, Il Giardino nell Camelie, pls.22 & 23. No description. Originated by Sacco, Milan, Italy. (Believed extinct.)
