Palmeria Alba

Buist, 1845, The American Flower Garden Directory, p.223: Leaves 5 cm. wide x 7.5 cm long, rather reflexed, of a dark green. It is a plant of neat habit and profuse in blooming - flowers finely double, clear white, about 8 cm across; petals bold and round - regularly imbricated, though not closely set. It has been sold in England as Candidissima, which, however, is a superior article. There is another flower by this name, but very inferior, being only a semi-double.
