SCCS., 1964, Camellia Nomenclature, p.105: Bright, clear pink. Large, rose form double with wide, undulating petals and crinkly centre petals surrounding white sta­mens. Vigorous, upright growth. Originated in USA by Reg Ragland, Orange, California. American Camellia Yearbook, 1965, p.245, Reg. No.741: (SCCS.No.63-20). A 5 year old chance seedling of General George Patton that first bloomed 1959. Flowers 11 cm across x 7.5 cm deep with 18 wide, undulating petals with 5-6 upright petals in the centre.
