American Camellia Yearbook, 1965, p.98, Reg. No.811: A 5 year old chance seedling that first flowered 1964; originated by R.W. Wilder, Fairhope, Alabama, USA. Plant growth is open and average with dark green leaves, 10 cm long x 5 cm wide. The anemone form flower measures 12.5-13 cm across x 5-6 cm deep. The colour is light red with yellow anthers and white filaments. Large, loose petals form rabbit ears in the centre. Small groups of stamens amongst the petaloids. Blooms mid-season.
