Gerbing Azalea Gardens Catalogue, 1941-1942: New Camellia from Middleton Place (Middleton No.31). Semi-double, medium sized flowers which are rose-pink spotted white, and the petaloids in the centre are marked with the stamens. Three rows of petals make up this 8 cm bloom. Long pointed, deep green foliage and bushy growth. Mid-sea­son flowering. Originated in South Carolina, USA. Synonym: ‘Emma Ladd’.
