International Camellia Journal, 2014, p.155 with colour photo; European Reg. No. 103.  Originated by Roger Salaȕn, “Stervinou”, Guipronvel, France. A 16-year-old seedling, parentage unknown, first flowered 2009. Plant has slow upright growth, with flat, elliptic, dark green leaves, 9-10 cm x 5 cm. Flower is a bright red, rose-form double similar to Hagoromo, 7.5-8 cm diameter x 2-2.5 cm deep. Some loosely dispersed stamens with yellow anthers and white filaments. Long mid-season flowering.
