This 20-year-old C. japonica seedling of ‘Magnoliaeflora’ was originated by Ryan Gainey of Decatur, Georiga and registered and propagated by Tommy Alden of Byron, Georgia. Bloom: The large sized 11.5cm x 5.1cm semidouble form flower is pale to blush pink in the center progressing to deep pink on the outer petals. It has yellow anthers and white fila-ments. The blooms have consistent form. It has pointed petals in the center and the outer petals are notched. Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The medium green leaves average 6.4cm-7.7cm x 3.8cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
