Tianlun Zhile

Tianlun Zhile (C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.48. HA-10-18., a cross seedling (DDA-No.27) of C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'. Flowers red to bright red with tangerine hue under sunlight, a few white stripes appear on the central petals, rose-double to peony form, large to very large size, 11.5-13.5cm across and 5.0-6.0cm deep with 24 exterior large petals arranged in 3 rows, petals rolled outward, central petals semi-erected. Leaves dark green, heavy leatheiy, broad elliptic, cuneate at the base, margins shallowly serrate at the upper part. Plant compact, upright and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Enjoying Family's Happiness”.

天伦之乐 Camellia ‘Tianlun Zhile’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第48页。 HA-10-18.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶 x 红山茶品种‘达婷 ’，杂交苗编号：DDA-No.27。花朵红色至艳红色，阳光下泛橘红色调，中部花瓣有少量白色条纹，玫瑰重瓣型至牡丹型，大型至巨型花，花径11.5-13.5cm,花朵厚5.0-6.0cm，外部大花瓣24枚，呈3轮排列，花瓣外翻，中部半直立，花芯处有散生雄蕊。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质，阔椭圆形，长8.5-9.6cm，宽5.2-5.7cm，基部楔形，上部边缘具浅齿。植株紧凑，立性，生长旺盛。夏末始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
