ACS Registration #2920. The Camellia Journal,2014, 69(2):30 with color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2014, p. 135 with color photo and description. This C. japonica first bloomed in 2008. It was originated by Marvin Jernigan of Warner Robins, Georgia and registered by C. Warren Thomp-son of Fort Valley, Georgia and propagated by Tom Johnson of Charleston, South Carolina. Bloom: The large sized 11.5cm x 7.7cm semidouble form flower is deep pink. It has yellow anthers. It falls in one piece and has heavy petal texture with consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is spreading. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 8.9cm x 5.1cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason.
