American Camellia Yearbook, 1948, p.175: First bloomed 1939, upright in growth; foliage is small, serrate and dull green in colour. Slow grower. Flower semi-double, small, porcelain-white; petals waved with groups of stamens intermingled. Early blooming. Originated at Bradford’s Wayside Nursery, Ocean Springs, Mississippi from a seedling of Duchess of Sutherland x Tricolor White. First flowered 1939. See American Camellia Yearbook, 1954, p.336, Reg.
