Xingyuan Jiezuo

Xingyuan Jiezuo ('Fred Sander' x 'Elegans Splendor'). China Regn. #2014-151. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2014, No.18, p.50. Flowers peony form, medium size to large size, red with little purple, 9.7-12.5 cm diameter, outer petals flat, long obovate, apices rotund, ruffled, wavy and undulating, inner petals twisted, stamens dispersed in bundles among the petals, bud long rotund with green sepals, filament pink, anthers golden yellow. Leaves elliptic, deep green, glossy, thick, 9.4 cm long, 4 cm wide, with prominent veining, margins serrate. Plant upright, growth fast. Flowers early to mid-season.

星源杰作 Camellia japonica ‘Xingyuan Jiezuo’ 中国登录号：2014-151，《中国花卉园艺》2014年第18期50页。由瞿宏伟命名，上海星源农业实验场的姚惠明、张斌、卜永斌、周和达培育并登录。该品种为红山茶品种佛蕾德'Fred Sander'与赛牡丹'Elegans Splendor'的种内杂交种。2005年秋季获得种子并播种，2010 年首次开花。花蕾长球状，萼片绿色。花朵稠密，红色，略显紫色调，牡丹型，中到大型花，花径9.7～12.5 cm，外轮大花瓣16枚左右，平铺，狭长倒卵形，先端近圆，边缘皱褶或波浪状且具白绒毛，中部花瓣半直立，扭曲，雄蕊多数，散生在花瓣之间，花丝粉红色，花药金黄色。叶片浓绿色、光亮，硬革质，椭圆形，长9.4 cm，宽4.0 cm，中脉明显，叶齿钝。植株开张，生长旺盛。花期：冬季至翌年春末。
