Ada Alice      (C. japonica)   Registered in 2020. ACS Registration #3191. This 40+ year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1980's. It was originated by an unknown person of Tift County, Georgia and registered and propagated by Mark Crawford of Valdosta, Georgia, USA. Bloom The large to very large sized 14.0cm x 3.8cm [treated 15.2cm x 5.1cm] semidouble to rose form double flower is pale pink with yellow anthers and white filaments. The bloom has wavy petals when fully open. This cultivar is a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture and has consistent form. Plant The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition. Leaf The dark green leaves average 10.8cm x 6.4cm with medium serration. Bloom season Midseason.
