Ailao Shenyun

Ailao Shenyun (C. reticulata). China Regn. #2019-267. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2019, No.8, p.58. Originated and registered by Lan Chengxin from Jingdong County, Yunnan Province. A chance seedling of ‘Ailaohong’. Collected seeds in 2009 and bloomed for the first time in 2015. Flowers red, rose double form, 9-11 cm in diameter, petals 19-22 in 3-4 whorls, heart-shaped, concave apex, most stamens petaloids, a few remaining clusters gathered in the center of the flower, and pistils degenerated. Leaves oblong to lanceolate-elliptic, 9 to 12 cm long and 3 to 5 cm wide, with acuminate apex to long tail tip, hooked downward, base cuneate, margin undulating. The flowering period is from December to February.

哀牢神韵 Camellia reticulata ‘Ailao Shenyun’. 中国茶花登录号：2019-267。《中国花卉园艺》2019年第8期58页。由云南省景东县大街乡昆岗村兰成新培育并登录。该品种从云南山茶品种‘哀牢红’种子实生苗中选育，2009年播种，2015年初花。花红色，玫瑰型，花径9～11厘米，花瓣数19～22枚，3～4轮着生，花瓣心形，先端凹缺，雄蕊多数瓣化，残留少数分束集于花心，雌蕊退化，不结实。叶长椭圆形至披针状椭圆形，长9～12厘米，宽3～5厘米，先端渐尖至长尾尖，下勾，基部楔形，叶缘波状起伏。花期12月～2月。
