American Camellia Yearbook, 1961, p.218, Reg. No.564: A 6 year old chance seedling that first bloomed 1959; originated by Rev. S.O. Cantey, Marion, South Car­olina, USA. Plant growth is spreading, medium in rate with 11 cm x 5.5 cm, dark green leaves. The peony form flowers, similar to Debutante, 12.5 cm across and 10 cm deep, are purplish pink with pink filaments and have 11 petals and 67 petaloids.
