April Tenille  (C. japonica)   ACS Registration #3108. Registered in 2019. This 25-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1999. It was originated, registered and propagated by Jill and Glenn Read of Lucedale, Mississippi.  BLOOM: The large sized 12.7 cm x 7.6 cm loose peony form flower is blush pink. It has gold anthers and white filaments. This profuse bloomer is long lasting with consistent form, heavy petal texture and falls in one piece. The light blush pink center is intermixed with unpronounced stamens and deepens to a pale pink towards the outer petals. PLANT: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. The plant is a heavy bud setter. LEAF: The dark green leaves average 9.5 cm x 3.2 cm with low serration. BLOOM SEASON: Midseason to late.
