ICS., Apr.1990. Japanese Camellia Cultivar List, p.4: Medium size, crimson, campanulate single. Originated in the Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.232 with colour photo; English translation p.161. Flowers mid-season. Leaves elliptic, medium size, flat. Upright, vigorous growth. A natural seedling of Chōchidori. Originated by Yoshihiko Mishima, released by Nobuo Sasai in 1979.
