Black Lace Benten

International Camellia Journal 37.  Reg. No. 53.  Benten variegated leaf sport from the complex hybrid 'Black Lace'.  Originated by Peter Fischer, Wingst, Germany.  First observed 1988, 100% stable propagation via cutting achieved from 1988 onwards.  Characteristics of plant are identical to parent with the addition of cream/yellow Benten variation of the foliage spreading from the leaf mid rib.  Foliage appears slightly smaller than the parent plant.  Blooms shatter, as per parent.  Introduced at Kamelien Paradies show in 1996.  Flower like 'Black Lace'.
