Diane Krauel (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2412. American Camellia Yearbook, 1997,
p2. with color photo in color inset 3. A medium, light pink center to
dark pink on edges, semidouble, C. japonica chance seedling, early to
mid-season. Originated by Judge R. D. Hendrick. This 30-year-old seedling first
bloomed in 1971. Average size flower is 4" wide and 2 1/2" deep with
25 petals. Plant growth is upright and slow with light green leaves measuring 3
114" long and 2" wide.
